Thuan An Beach is 14 kilometers from the city and there are some charming villages along the way, including a well-marked former residence of Uncle Ho (the second in Hue) in a village called Phu Duong. The beach is also once listed as one of the twenty beauties of the Ancient Capital by the Emperor Thieu Tri.
